Aluminum foil is a part of every kitchen.
We all use it for cooking or for wrapping mostly, but also it finds other different usages in your lives too.
Unfortunately, the most of us aren’t aware that this common kitchen thing has its dark side.
First of all, the aluminum is listed as a heavy metal neurotoxin and the side effects of this harmful metal are numerous.
These are only a few of them:
- mental decline (in some cases even Alzheimer’s disease),
- memory loss,
- body balance loss,
- losing the control over the movements of the body and
- damaged coordination.
Another study shows that cooking with aluminum foil may result with building up aluminum into your bones which cause reduction of the calcium level and problems with its absorption.
Research also linked aluminum foil with pulmonary fibrosis and with many other respiratory difficult and health problems that can be a result of inhaling aluminum particles when you grill or cook with this foil.
When is exposed on the high temperatures aluminum foil degrades.
This can be a treat of getting heavy metals into your body and blood with the consuming the cooked food with aluminum foil.
In one research at the American University of Sharjah, As Dr. Essam Zubaidy came to the conclusion that a meal cooked with aluminum foil can have in it up to 400 mg of aluminum, and “The higher the temperature, the more the leaching.
The foil is not suitable for cooking and is not suitable for using with vegetables like tomatoes, citrus juice or spices.”
It is very important to know that The RDA (recommended daily allowance) for aluminum, according to the World Health Organization, is limited to only 60mg daily.
