Prepare This Gluten Free Specialty – Stirred Noodles – Lo Mein !

This specialty is gluten free and very popular vegan meal.
The other noodles Chinese meals are usually rich of fat and oily, the lo mein offers a lot of vegetable and they are much more fresh and more tasty.
Here is one special lo mein recipe which is tasty and very healthy at the same time.

You can prepare noodles of spaghetti squash baked at 375°F for about an hour. When the noodles get nice yellow color (similar as egg noodles) that means that they are ready for the next stage of preparation.
This way prepared they contain only 42 calories and they are rich of beta-carotene and potassium. It is up to you which kind of vegetables you will add to this meal: ginger, spinach, salad or anything other depending at your favorite flavor. Vegetables are adding an extra vitamin C so your daily needs of natural and healthy ingredients will be satisfied totally. The most important this meal is gluten free.

Preparation for 3-4 Dishes:

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of tamari
  • 4 garlic gloves
  • 2 tablespoons of ginger
  • different spices
  • 1 tablespoons agave juice
  • black pepper
  • salt

 Noodles ingredients:

  • 1 chopped scallion
  • 3 cups spaghetti squash
  • 5 white mushrooms
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup broccoli
  • some cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons of sesame oil
  • sesame seed


Stirred Noodles – Lo Mein

Bake the spaghetti squash at 375°F into the oven for about an hour. Bake them at baking paper covered with little canola oil. Squash should be cut in half and after baking they should be scraped inside into ,noodles,,.

Prepare all the vegetables you intend to use.

Cook the onion and carrots into boiling canola oil for 5 minutes. Then add the broccoli and mix them well. Boil the whole vegetables with hot water for 2-3 minutes. Then remove the pan of the fire and add mushrooms and scallion. Add the sauce and cook mix it until the mushrooms get soft. Add the noodles and sesame oil and cook the mixture for 1-2 minutes together. Remove it of the fire. Serve them with sesame seeds over it at small dishes.
